Personal
- Served for two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nashville, Tenn.
- Father, Steve, played college football for Weber State. Both of his sisters played golf at Weber State.
- Was the starting point guard on his high school basketball team (Fremont High) and was an all-state selection in 2011.
- In June 2019, became the first player to receive a grant from the Tony Finau Foundation. The $40,000 donation came from Finau, whose foundation received the grant from the Korn Ferry Tour's Utah Championship and Utah Sports Commission. The funds are to be used to mentor up-and-coming golfers from Utah.
- Family is in the ranching business with horse ranches in Utah & Idaho.

Wichita Open Supporting Wichita's Youth: Spurred by a second-round 62, finished the week T5 at the Wichita Open Supporting Wichita's Youth at 13-under 267.
2019 Season
Played in all 12 Mackenzie Tour events, making 11 cuts, winning once and picking up four top-10 finishes. Ended the season in the fifth spot on the Order of Merit to earn 2020 Korn Ferry Tour membership.

Canada Life Championship: Highlighted by back-to-back 64s over the weekend, picked up his first-career Mackenzie Tour-PGA TOUR Canada victory, capturing the season-ending event at Highland CC by three strokes over David Pastore. Played his final round without a bogey, moving from 11th to fifth place on the Order of Merit to earn 2020 Korn Ferry Tour membership.

CoBank Colorado Open: At Green Valley Ranch in Denver, had an impressive week but a disappointing finish Sunday, battling Albuquerque’s Sam Saunders all week before finally settling on a T2 with James Love. Finished at 20-under, four shots behind Saunders’ winning score. After opening with rounds of 64-66-65, stumbled on the final day, with four birdies and five bogeys in his 1-over 73. Still earned $15,000.

HFX Pro-Am presented by Steele Jaguar: Finished inside the top 10 for the third time in seven events, breaking 70 all four rounds, and for the 11th time in his past 12 rounds. Shooting a front-nine 30 Sunday, posted a final-round 66 to T6 at Oakfield G&CC.

Windsor Championship: Matched Tain Lee for the lowest final-36-hole score at the event, shooting a pair of 65s at Ambassador GC to finish runner-up alongside five other players, a stroke behind winner Dawson Armstrong. The runner-up showing represented his career-best finish.

Bayview Place DCBank Open presented by Times Colonist: Shot 66 three times in four rounds at Uplands GC in Victoria, British Columbia, two of those 66s the result of bogey-free play. Finished alone in third place, five shots behind winner Paul Barjon.
2018 Season
Made seven Mackenzie Tour starts, posting two top-10s and weekend appearances in all seven tournaments. Finished 42nd on the Order of Merit. Also played in two Korn Ferry Tour tournaments, making one cut.

Freedom 55 Financial Championship: Made only four bogeys during the season-ending event to finish T9 with two others, his second top-10 of the season. Turned in four consecutive rounds in the 60s, including a Sunday 65 at Highland CC.

Syncrude Oil Country Championship presented by AECON: Enjoyed his top finish of the season, recording four sub-70 scores at Edmonton Petroleum G&CC. Briefly held a share of the final-round lead after opening his day with four consecutive birdies.

Utah Championship presented by Zions Bank: Making his Korn Ferry Tour debut as a sponsor's exemption in his home state, finished T24 to earn a spot in the Pinnacle Bank Championship field the next week.

Mackenzie Tour-PGA TOUR Canada Q-School-USA WEST 1: Qualified for the Mackenzie Tour by finishing T20 in Santee, Calif., in March.
2017 Season

Utah Open: Completely dominated his state open. Went to the final hole at Provo's Riverside CC, his home course in college, holding an eight-stroke lead. Added one more stroke to his final margin of victory, shooting a three-day, 26-under total to defeat Zahkai Brown. The win was worth $20,000. Rounds of 63-64-63 allowed him to break Nate Lashley's 2015 tournament record by four shots.
Amateur Highlights
- While still playing for BYU, won the 2016 Utah State Amateur, the longest continuously running golf tournament in the U.S. Captured the 118th playing of the tournament, defeating Aaron Smith, 4 and 2, at Alpine CC in Highland, Utah.
- Was the low amateur at the 2015 Utah Open at Provo's Riverside CC. Took the first-round lead with a 10-under 62 and eventually finished T5 with two others.
- Broke through in a big way, crushing the competition at the 2017 Utah Open, shooting rounds of 63-64-63 at Riverside CC to defeat defending champion Zahkai Brown by nine shots. Recorded back-to-back bogeys on Nos. 9 and 10 in the first round, the only ble
