Belgian Knockout [Eur]: Claimed his second European Tour title at Rinkven International Golf Club by beating Benjamin Herbert by two shots in the final of the Belgian Knockout. The win came in his 142nd appearance on the European Tour and he became the first Spanish winner of the event since Miguel Angel Jimenez in 1992 (formerly Belgian Open). Each of his first two wins came in formats other than 72-hole stroke play. Came into the week after a runner-up finish at the Volvo China Open and claimed his third top-10 of the season with the win.
Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play [Eur]: Defeated Marcel Siem 2 and 1 in the final match of the event to win his first European Tour title. Otaegui was two down with five holes to play against Siem in the final match, but a run of three birdies in the closing stretch gave him the victory. He came into the week on the back of four consecutive top-20 finishes.
