Phil Mickelson's interview after winning AT&T Pebble Beach

Phil Mickelson didn’t originally want to wait untill Monday for his 44th win on the PGA TOUR, but return he did to polish off a 7-under 65 final round to win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The victory has seen the popular star make a big move into the Top 10 of the Wyndham Rewards standings.

Mickelson went from 40th to 6th in the FedExCup standings with his fifth title at Pebble Beach.

The top 10 in the standings after the Wyndham Championship -- the final event of the PGA TOUR's regular season -- will receive a portion of the $10 million bonus in the new Wyndham Rewards Top 10 competition.

Matt Kuchar’s T22 last week was enough to move him into top spot ahead of former leader Xander Schauffele.

First place after the Wyndham Championship will receive $2 million, followed by $1.5 million for second, all the way to $500,000 for 10th place, the final spot eligible for a bonus.

“This is a special place here at Pebble Beach, it's special to win and I have so many incredible memories and recollections over the years that to add to it is something special,” Mickelson said.

“I've been playing really well and obviously to go bogey-free the final round, that's a big thing for me, the conditions were challenging at times throughout the round and to put together that round was pretty special.”

Mickelson’s jump of 34 spots in the standings wasn't the biggest of the week… that honor went to Scott Stallings as he moved a whopping 124 spots. Here are the top 10 biggest moves (tournament result in parentheses) in the FedExCup standings:

    124 – Scott Stallings (3), 183 to 59
    62 – Kevin Streelman (T7), 144 to 82
    53 – Max Homa (T10), 174 to 121
    46 – Brian Gay (T7), 113 to 67
    46 – Roberto Diaz (T18), 211 to 165
    41 – Paul Casey (2), 56 to 15
    40 – Scott Langley (6), 94 to 54
    40 – Chris Stroud (T10), 115 to 75
    34 – Phil Mickelson (Won), 40 to 6
    33 – Matt Every (T14), 135 to 102

    LOOKING AHEAD

Going into this week's Genesis Open seven of the top 10 players in the Wyndham Rewards Top 10 are in the field. New No.1 Matt Kuchar has a handful of guys breathing down his neck for top spot. Schauffele, Marc Leishman, Mickelson and Charles Howell III are all mathematically capable of taking the lead at Riviera Country Club.
