Bryson DeChambeau's interview after Round 4 of the Memorial

Bryson DeChambeau hit only 5 of 14 fairways during the final round but still found a way to win the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide for his second PGA TOUR title.

DeChambeau leaned on a strong short game down the stretch, using his Cobra King wedge to get up-and-down from just off the green on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to keep his tournament hopes alive.

Unlike a traditional set that gets progressively shorter in length, DeChambeau's lob wedge remains a consistent 37.5 inches (6-iron length) from the 4-iron through the 60-degree wedge. According to DeChambeau, the set allows him to create a repeatable single plane motion with every club.

His third go-around on the 18th hole produced a birdie when DeChambeau's 169-yard approach shot landed 11 feet, 10 inches from the hole, setting up the winning birdie putt that was converted with a SIK C-Series blade.

The putter features SIK's Descending Loft Technology design on the face. According to the manufacturer, "each plane descends in loft by one-degree thereby neutralizing every golfers’ inability to achieve a consistent shaft angle at impact." The end result is a putter that optimizes launch for a more consistent roll.

DeChambeau outfitted the flat stick with a Matrix U11-PO prototype graphite shaft and 17-inch SuperStroke Flatso 17 (100 grams) that's preferred by players who rest the grip against their forearm during the stroke.

"It's stiff as a board," DeChambeau told PGATOUR.COM of the graphite putter shaft. "It's the most consistent producing deflection out there. If you change your rhythm it doesn't deflect differently. That's the important thing."

Here's a look at DeChambeau's entire equipment setup.
