PGA TOUR Volunteers
Resources
In 2019, the PGA TOUR developed the Volunteer Service Excellence Program in partnership with Disney Institute. The program is designed to recognize volunteers for their efforts; empower volunteers with the knowledge, tools and resources to deliver outstanding guest service; and unify volunteers around the common purpose of creating memorable tournament experiences while making a positive impact on tournament communities.

Gallery Management
Gallery Management Ambassadors are given a unique inside and outside-the-ropes tournament experience. They are responsible for managing gallery noise & traffic; ensuring the safety of our guests by reinforcing health & safety policies; leading by example; and providing a world class guest experience.
Competition Support
Volunteers who perform competition support functions will enjoy a unique inside-the-ropes experience. Using ShotLink, a state-of-the-art system for collecting and distributing real-time scoring and statistical data, these exciting volunteer positions are essential to the success of the tournament and put volunteers right where the action is!

Standard Bearers
Standard Bearer volunteers will follow a group of golfers during their round of play, inside the ropes. No other volunteer job gets you closer to the action. Your primary responsibility will be to show the gallery who is playing in the group and to display their scores by carrying a standard sign presenting the information.
Announcers
This committee will introduce players to the crowd as they begin play at either #1 tee or #10 tee.

Admissions
Admissions volunteers are front-line positions that are usually our fans’ first interaction with a tournament. They are responsible for basic digital ticket resolution; customer service; ticket sales; and admissions gate scanning both at tournament entrance gates and at secondary, hospitality, or other areas such as concerts or parking.
Player Services
The Player Services Committee will assist with player registration and various other player services throughout tournament week. This committee is among the first group to interact with players upon their arrival.

Practice Grounds
The Practice Grounds Committee will provide gallery control of the practice areas and regulate access to and from all practice facilities for players, tournament officials and other properly credentialed guests.
Hospitality
On this committee, volunteers may be a greeter within a venue to welcome fans, or a gallery management ambassador to keep the venue quiet for golfers. Volunteers may also assist security to ensure that all fans entering private venues have the proper credentials or assist with taking attendance counts in open-to-the-public venues.
