ECCO is known for crafting comfortable shoes through cutting edge technology and the Danish brand’s newest offerings reinforce its position in the market.

The BIOM series has long been a favorite for TOUR players and amateurs alike. The latest generation, the BIOM G3, continues the tradition of bringing comfort, style and innovation to the fairways. The foundation of the BIOM G3’s technology is the renowned BIOM NATURAL MOTION last, which provides a glove-like fit and allows the foot to move more naturally. From a performance standpoint, this last also places the foot closer to the ground to provide increased stability, ground feel and traction. Adding to the traction is an outsole that combines ZARMA-TOUR spikes and hybrid cleats on the toe and rotation line. Together, they offer increased stability and grip.

Over the years, a distinguishing feature of ECCO’s BIOM series is the yak leather upper from the brand’s own tanneries. With the BIOM G3, this supple leather upper gets a stylish upgrade with a tumbled texture. The slightly raised grain and natural shine create a luxurious look.

Contributing to the comfort of the shoe are a double-layer neoprene collar and an Ortholite foam inlay sole. The collar is soft and stretchy, allowing it to wrap around the heel and adapt to the shape and movement of the foot. When you are looking to walk 18 holes or more, you will be thankful for the cushioning and breathability of the Ortholite inlay sole. It can also be removed to provide extra width for those who need additional room or wear orthotics.

The BIOM G3 is available in two models: traditional laced and a BOA closure. The BOA system helps you to dial in a custom fit with nylon wrapped laces built with 49 strands of stainless steel.

Joining the BIOM G3 in ECCO’s lineup is the new S-LITE. While the BIOM G3 is designed for high-performance on the course, the S-LITE is a more casual option and its versatility makes it perfect for a golf road trip. Save room in your weekend bag as this shoe can easily transition from the course to the street in style. It is also the lightest leather golf shoe ECCO has ever produced.

The upper of the S-LITE may have the appearance of a mesh textile, but don’t be fooled. It is actually a two-tone yak leather with diamond-shaped embossing.

Stability is typically a concern with ultra-lightweight shoes, but ECCO has addressed those concerns with a polyurethane midsole and wing wrap around the foot. A molded heel counter and inside toe reinforcement provide additional support.

ECCO took one of its most popular outsoles and made it even lighter for the S-LITE. It is equipped with the E-DTS LITE hybrid outsole for traction in all conditions. Advanced engineering led to a svelte outsole that was 66% thinner than the brand had created in the past. Molded into the outsole is a traction system consisting of more than 100 traction studs and 800 traction angles.

Both the BIOM G3 and S-LITE use ECCO’s revolutionary FLUIDFORM Technology to bond the upper and the outsole unit. This innovative construction process creates a one-piece shoe without the use of glue or stitching. The result is a more flexible, more durable, and lighter shoe. Both models are now available on store shelves, with the additional colorways pictured arriving soon.
