Amateur Highlights

Enjoyed what is considered the best and most-consistent single season in South Carolina golf history during the 2020-21 school year. Finished in the top 20 in 10 of his 11 starts. Earned Ping First-team All-American honors, joining Matthew NeSmith as the only other Gamecock to achieve that honor. His 69.97 scoring average was the lowest single-season mark in program history.

Was a member of the 2021 U.S. Arnold Palmer Cup team, the event played at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois. In his singles match, defeated China’s Yuxin Lin, 1-up, helping the Americans to a 33-27 win over the International squad.

Won his first collegiate title when he captured the 2019 J.T. Poston Invitational by one stroke.

Earned his second college title, at the 2021 Augusta Haskins Award Invitational. Chipped in on the 54th hole of regulation to tie Pepperdine’s Dylan Menante then birdied both extra holes of sudden-death to defeat Menante. The win earned him a playing spot in the PGA TOUR’s 3M Open that summer.

Led his Halls High School team to back-to-back 3A golf titles, starting in 2017. Won the 2017 individual state title.

On the American Junior Golf Association, was a 2015 and 2017 honorable mention Rolex All-American and a 2018 first-team selection.
