Amateur Highlights

Finished No. 8 in the inaugural PGA TOUR University Class of 2021.

Played collegiately for four seasons at Southern Methodist University (2017-21), winning twice individually, with the highlight being medalist honors at the 2019 American Athletic Conference Championship. Also left SMU ranked third in career scoring average (71.41), trailing an active player and school record holder Bryson DeChambeau (71.15).

Broke Bryson DeChambeau's school record for single-season scoring average in 2019-20 with a 70.44 average across 18 rounds during the shortened season.

A two-time All-American, he garnered second-team recognition for 2019-20, a third-team laurel in 2019.

Won the 2020 Southern Amateur Championship at Maridoe GC in Carrolton, Texas. Shot a final-round 66 to finish in a tie with David Perkins, who he bested in a playoff.

Won the 2021 Byron Nelson Award, which is annually presented to a graduating male senior golfer, who is given equal consideration for performance, academics, character, integrity, and citizenship.
