Was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to Canada at age seven.
At Washington, took advantage of his "COVID year" to play one extra season of college golf.
Started playing golf at age six by following his dad to the range once a week and hitting balls when he would take breaks.
Earliest golf memory involves playing in Thailand, where he would play a few holes then drive the cart while his parents finished the round.
Always starts his round with five tees in his pocket.
Lived in Thailand for three years, starting at age four.
Amateur Highlights
Played in one PGA TOUR Canada tournament in 2021, finishing T13 after back-to-back, weekend rounds of 3-under 67.
Won the 2020 Arizona Intercollegiate, beating Trevor Werbylo in a playoff.
In October, captured the 2019 Georgetown Intercollegiate in Maryland in an overtime session against Noah Woolsey after the duo finished regulation tied at 8-under. It was his first college victory.
