Personal

Brother is a fly-fishing guide in both Idaho and the Florida Keys.

Always marks his ball on the green with the marker his girlfriend gave him.

Was confined to a wheelchair or had to use crutches for four months in 2018 after undergoing labrum hip surgery. Did not play golf for a full year.

Credits his two college coaches Will Brewer (at Lipscomb) and Mark McEntire (at Middle Tennessee) for his growth as both a person and a golfer.

Amateur Highlights

Played his first four seasons at Lipscomb before transferring to Middle Tennessee State for his final year, allowed by the NCAA because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Holds the Middle Tennessee State University record for most consecutive tournament rounds under-par (11) and shares the school record for lowest score in relation to par (13-under).

Won the 2019 Tennessee State Match Play Championship. Defeated Jack Uselton in the final in 2019 at Oak Ridge CC, only a year after his hip surgery
