Was on the bag when Veerman came from two strokes back on the final day to win his first DP World Tour title, the D+D REAL Czech Masters, beating Sean Crocker and Finland’s Tapio Pulkkanen by two shots.

Wife. Estheysis, is a ballerina for the Houston Ballet. Her parents were competitive gymnasts, who participated in multiple Olympic Games, representing Cuba.

Quit golf in 2017 and began trying to make short films. In his words, realized "I was not very good."

In 2018, worked as a production assistant on a couple of reality shows before returning to golf and turning pro in 2019.
