Volunteers as an instructor at The First Tee of the Triangle in North Carolina.

As a senior at the University of North Carolina, won the Mildred McCaskill RAMMY, which is awarded to two seniors, a male and female, in recognition of outstanding community outreach, athletic achievement and academic excellence. Calls it his "most-prized award to date."
