Didn’t start playing golf until he was 14, his freshman year of high school. Within four years, he was the 2014 Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 1 state champion and the Wisconsin PGA Section Junior Boys Player of the Year.

Briefly attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis before deciding to turn pro and concentrate on professional golf.
