Is a big fan of the Montreal Canadiens.
Comes from a hockey background. His father, Bill, played collegiately at Cornell and was a team captain, the Big Red going undefeated and winning the 1970 national championship. He later coached Cornell's women's hockey team for 13 seasons, concluding in 1984. Compiled a .611 winning percentage, with the school later inducting him into its hall of fame. Mom, Diane, was a four-year Cornell hockey letter winner and captain her senior season.
Amateur Highlights
At Yahnundasis GC in 2007, won the 85th playing of the New York Amateur, defeating Andrew DiBitetto, 1-up. Was 3-down after the first 18 holes but rallied to capture the Ganson Depew Cup.
In college, won the 2010 Navy Intercollegiate.
