Played in 12 PGA TOUR Series-China events during his first season on that circuit. Including a third-place finish, recorded three top-10s among his six made cuts. Closed the year 37th on the Order of Merit to retain his 2020 playing privileges.

Earned his first top-10 after he finished T3 at the weather-shortened tournament in July. Rounds of 68-64 helped him finish at 6-under and record the highest finish from an Australian through nine events this season.

After struggling for most of the season, broke through with his second top-10, finishing T9 in Zhuzhou. Used rounds of 68-70-70-73 to finish inside the top 10 for the first time since the Guangzhou Open.

Ended his 2019 campaign on a high note by carding rounds of 66-67-67-68 to T5 at 16-under at the season-ending event at Caesars Golf Macau.
