Season Recap

2024 Season

Recorded top 10 finishes in 10 of the 12 events he played in, including winning the Sanford International for the third consecutive year and fourth time overall. With the win - a playoff victory over Richard Green - Stricker became the first player to "three-peat" on both the PGA TOUR (John Deere Classic, 2009-11) and PGA TOUR Champions. Other highlights on the year included a runner-up finish (playoff loss to Ernie Els) at the American Family Insurance Championship, the tournament Stricker hosts in Madison, Wisconsin. Stricker recorded top 10 finishes in all four majors he competed in (T3-Regions Tradition, 8th-Senior PGA Championship, 4th-U.S. Senior Open, T4-Kaulig Companies Championship). He finished the year ranked 11th in the Charles Schwab Cup standings.

Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai

The defending champion at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai finished third in 2024 after scores of 66-64-66. It marked his 16th top-3 in his last 21 starts on PGA TOUR Champions, dating back to August 2022.

Chubb Classic

The 2021 Chubb Classic champion shot 69-67 en route to a T7 finish at the weather-shortened 36-hole event in 2024. It was his fourth top-8 finish at the event in five starts.

Hoag Classic Newport Beach

Followed consecutive opening rounds of 4-under 67 with a 1-under 70 in Sunday’s final round to finish solo-seventh a 9-under 204.

The Galleri Classic

Posted 68-69-69 to finish T6 at The Galleri Classic. It was his fourth top-10 in his first five starts of the 2024 season.

Regions Tradition

In his bid for a "three-peat" at the Regions Tradition, carded a final-round 69 to finish T3 at 14-under. It was his sixth consecutive top-3 finish at the Regions Tradition (T2, 2018; Won, 2019; 2nd, 2021; Won, 2022; Won, 2023; T3, 2024).

KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship

The defending champion posted scores of 66-69-71-68 to finish 8th at 10-under 274

American Family Insurance Championship

The tournament host and defending champion, Stricker was 36-hole co-leader alongside Ernie Els. Both golfers closed with a 3-under 69 to remain deadlocked at 12-under 204. Stricker lost when unable to save par on the first hole of the sudden death playoff.

U.S. Senior Open Championship

The 2019 U.S. Senior Open champion finished fourth in 2024. Opened with three consecutive 66s before closing with 3-over 73.

Kaulig Companies Championship

In his bid for a third Kaulig Companies Championship title in four years, he finished T4 in 2024. Held the 54-hole lead after opening with rounds of 66-68-67, but closed with 73, which included a triple bogey on No. 14.

Sanford International

Defeated Richard Green in a four-hole playoff to win the Sanford International for the third consecutive year, and fourth time overall (2018, 2022, 2023, 2024). Became the first player in history to three-peat on both the PGA TOUR (John Deere Classic, 2009-11) and PGA TOUR Champions. It was his 18th win overall on PGA TOUR Champions and first victory of 2024 to mark his sixth consecutive season with a win. Carded scores of 67-68-67 for an 8-under total.
