MEMPHIS, Tennessee — As True Temper's popular Dynamic Gold shaft has continued to evolve over the years, the company has rolled out new versions of the shaft in different weights and profiles geared for particular swings and player preferences.
The latest example is the new True Temper Dynamic Gold 115 wedge shaft that was introduced at the FedEx St. Jude Classic. The shaft weighs roughly 115 grams and is designed as a lightweight alternative to the standard Dynamic Gold shaft.
According to True Temper representatives on site at TPC Southwind, the shaft was specifically created for players who use an iron shaft under 110 grams that don't want a large weight gap when transitioning to the scoring clubs.
True Temper Dynamic Gold has been trending lighter in recent months since it introduced Dynamic Gold 120 at the Honda Classic. The iron shaft weighs 118 and 120 grams and features the same profile as standard version.
