Henrik Stenson shot an 8-under 63 and pulled away from Phil Mickelson down the stretch to win his first major title at The Open Championship.
Going toe-to-toe with Mickelson for most of the afternoon, the Swede recorded four birdies over the final five holes, including a 50-foot birdie putt from off the green at No. 15 that gave him a two-shot cushion with three to play.
Stenson's Callaway Diablo Octane Tour 3-wood once again played a key role in the win. One of the oldest clubs in his bag — used versions can be purchased for anywhere from $5.99-$24.99 — Stenson hit 79 percent of the fairways at Royal Troon during the final round and averaged 288 yards.
In addition to the clinic he put on off the tee, Stenson hit 16 of 18 greens (89 percent) on Sunday and led the field for the week with a 77.8 percentage with a set of Callaway Legacy Black Forged irons that are only available in Asia.
Released in 2010, the Endo Forged S20C irons have a wider sole and undercut cavity that minimizes vibrations. Stenson has been using the irons going all the way back to his season-long FedExCup title in 2013.
Here's a look at the rest of the club in Stenson's bag.
