GREENSBORO, N.C. – For Keegan Bradley, the end of the Wyndham Championship brought an end to a remarkable streak – and an opportunity to finally reset.
Bradley’s bid to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs came up short Sunday at Sedgefield Country Club, ending his run of 15 consecutive appearances in the postseason. The eight-time TOUR winner entered the Wyndham Championship No. 72 in the FedExCup and needed to finish in a two-way tie for 38th or better to advance.
“Yeah, pretty good streak,” Bradley said Sunday. “Normally I'd be going on to the Playoffs in years past right now. So, you know, yeah, it's only 70 make the Playoffs … Like I said, any other year I'd be in the first couple, so it's tough. I wish I just played a little better at the beginning of the year, we wouldn't be in this position.”
After making the cut on the number Friday at 3-under, Bradley shot 69-68 over the weekend to finish at 6 under, well short of the number he needed.
Bradley’s season was a difficult one from the outset. He missed three of his first five cuts to begin 2026, a slow start he attributed in part to the emotional toll of the previous year, when he served as captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup Team.
“I just got off to such a bad start. It was such a weird time after the Ryder Cup, it was really tough for me to get back into this whole life. And it still is, to be honest,” Bradley said Friday at Sedgefield.

He acknowledged Sunday that the past year and a half had taken a toll.
“Yeah, it was a tough year. It was a tough,” Bradley said. “I'm looking forward to getting home and resetting and coming out next year a little fresher maybe. I got off to such a terrible start this year. Next year hopefully will be better.”
Bradley will still have a chance to experience a team atmosphere this fall as he’s set to serve as a vice captain for the U.S. Team at Medinah.
“I'm excited to be vice captain at the Presidents Cup, looking forward to getting back in there with the guys and enjoying that team atmosphere,” he said. “Then really need to just kind of move on from all this stuff and hopefully have a better next year.”
Bradley wasn’t the only notable name whose season ended at the Wyndham.
Tony Finau, who entered the week No. 89 in the FedExCup, also saw his 11-year postseason streak come to an end. The six-time TOUR winner needed to finish in a two-way tie for third or better to advance to next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Like Bradley, Finau made the cut on the number Friday before shooting 69-70 on the weekend. He finished at 4 under, failing to secure a spot in the Playoffs.

“Yeah, it's been a disappointing season, no question. There's no sugarcoating it for me,” Finau said Friday. “It's been a failed season up to this point. But the thing is, I continue to stay optimistic and continue to learn. That's all you can do out here."
"I've always had the motto of you either win or you learn. I haven't done a lot of winning this (season), so I've done a lot of learning. So, I'll just continue to learn from the mistakes that I'm making and see how I can be better for next season.”
Brooks Koepka's return to the PGA TOUR also ended without a spot in the Playoffs.
Koepka, who returned to TOUR competition in February, entered the Wyndham at No. 86 in the FedExCup and needed at least a solo fourth-place finish to advance. He made 10 cuts in 15 starts this season, with his best result a T9 at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. He recorded six top-25 finishes but struggled in the three majors he played, finishing T55 at the PGA Championship, missing the cut at the U.S. Open and tying for 28th at The Open Championship.
‘Very pathetic, disappointing’: Brooks Koepka on missing FedExCup Playoffs
Koepka finished his Wyndham week frustrated by his performance on the greens.
“Ball-struck it great. It's just all on the greens. I don't know what the deal is, got zero confidence, can't putt. I don't know,” Koepka said Sunday. “There's going to be a lot of changes here soon.”
Missing the Playoffs was particularly disappointing for the nine-time TOUR winner, who acknowledged that his results have fallen well short of his expectations.
“I think it's pretty pathetic that I can't get through,” Koepka said. “Zero top 10s basically in two years. To be in the prime of your career and be as good as I think I am, I think that's very pathetic, disappointing. Just need to go home and completely reevaluate everything.”
Still, Koepka said he has enjoyed his return to the TOUR: “Yeah, it's been great. Honestly, I've loved it. I feel fantastic. The reception's been great. Overall happiness is 10 out of 10 and just excited.”
Koepka said he plans to play a couple of events in Europe before potentially returning for additional fall events.
