Not phased by a host of PGA TOUR rookies in the mix near the top of the leaderboard with him at the Sanderson Farms Championship, the TOUR veteran followed 5-under 67s in rounds one and two with a 70-68 finish on the weekend to claim a share of second place with Luke List and 2011 champion Chris Kirk at 16-under 272. Marked his third-career runner-up finish.
Made the cut in less than half of his 29 starts (14) en route to a No. 150 finish in the FedExCup. Managed three top-25 finishes, with a T5 at the Sony Open in Hawaii his lone top-10 finish.
Claimed a pair of top-10 finishes in 18 starts through the Wyndham Championship, highlighted by a runner-up performance in Memphis. Earned a berth into the Playoffs for a third time and first since 2012. A missed cut at The Barclays kept him just outside the top 100 in the FedExCup standings at No. 104, a result that ended his season.
Finished the Web.com Tour season with 12 starts. Year resulted in a win, a third-place finish and a T4.

Making his first career start on Tour, T3 at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open, one of three third-place finishes on the year (Xerox Classic, Albertsons Boise Open). Shared the first- and third-round lead at the Athens Regional Foundation Classic before falling in a playoff to Robert Damron. Also finished runner-up two weeks later at the South Georgia Classic, moving to No. 5 on the money list. Played in one PGA TOUR event, missing the cut at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
Finished No. 157 on the PGA TOUR money list, with $426,601. Made the cut in 11 of 29 starts, with a best finish of T4 at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, aided by a final-round 5-under 67 Sunday at Pebble Beach.
Finished among the top 75 (No. 69) on the PGA TOUR money list for a second straight season. Was a career-best second at the Bay Hill Invitational, one stroke behind Rod Pampling, in his eighth start of the season. Tied at 14-under after Pampling double bogeyed the par-4 13th hole, he birdied Nos. 14 and 16 to take a one-stroke lead into the par-3 17th hole. Although Pampling bogeyed the hole, he missed two putts from within 3-and-a-half feet to double bogey. The pair headed for the 18th hole tied for the lead. His second shot on No. 18 landed in the back bunker, and he hit a wedge to 13 feet. Pampling two-putted for par, and when his par putt lipped out he fell one shot short.
The PGA TOUR rookie retained his card after finishing 57th on the money list with more than $1.3 million in earnings.
Finished 94th on the Order of Merit, with three top-10s, including a season-best seventh at the Qatar Masters.
Posted his best finish in Europe at No. 21 on the Order of Merit. Picked up his first career victory on that tour with a win at the British Masters.

Turned in best finish in a major at The Open Championship, where he finished T23 and posted a double eagle on the 11th hole at Royal Lythan & St. Annes, England, in the third round.
