Made the cut at both the Senior PGA Championship (T56) and The Senior Open Championship (T53) in his two other Champions Tour starts. Also played a limited schedule on the European Senior Tour. Finished second at the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open and third at the Travis Perkins Senior Masters.
Made just two forays to the United States, instead opting to compete mainly on the European Seniors Tour. Posted four top-10 finishes in Europe, highlighted by a second-place at the Benahavis Senior Masters. Was also sixth at the Cleveland Golf/Srixon Scottish Senior Open and seventh at the Casa Serena Open.
Finished 50th spot on the final money list. Played some of his best golf over the final month of the season, posting three top-20 finishes, including a T11 at the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship and a T13 at the AT&T Championship, where a final-round 68 allowed him to claim the 50th position on the money list.
Started year with limited status but took advantage of 17 starts with five top-10 finishes and narrowly missed on a trip to the Charles Schwab Cup Championship when Phil Blackmar won the AT&T Championship, the last full-field event of the year.
A T5 showing in the final full-field event of the year paid dividends, allowing him to grab the 50th and final conditionally-exempt slot on the final 2008 money list.
Was back among the top 30 money winners after a season which saw him win his third Champions Tour title.
Played his best early in the year. Led the Champions Tour in Total Driving for the second time in three years, becoming the first international player to claim the top spot in this category twice.
Finished in the top 30 on the money list for the second consecutive year and earned a spot in the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship.
Enjoyed highly successful rookie season and played some of his best golf in the Champions Tour majors. Earned July Player of the Month honors as a result of his outstanding play. Suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee while skiing in France prior to coming to America and had arthroscopic surgery in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., after the Royal Caribbean event. Missed two other Florida tournaments, but returned to action at the MasterCard Classic in Mexico (T13).
