Started playing golf when he was 7 years old with only a 9-iron; his brother was two years older at the time and began playing with a 7-iron. He decided at age 14 he wanted to do it for a living.

Started golf partly because of his father, who worked at a bank which had a tournament for customers. His father was pressured by a colleague to play the following year, so his parents took up golf. Roughly 18 months later, Lukas and his brother began playing.

His favorite golf memory as a fan was watching Tiger Woods for the first time at the Memorial Tournament in 2018, and he remembers having goosebumps. A year later, he met Tiger at The Genesis Invitational, which he played via an exemption tied to winning the 2019 Genesis Open Collegiate Showcase.

Holds the 18-hole course record at Zimmerner GC in Germany.

Would love to play in the World Series of Poker.

Speaks German.

Represented Kentucky at the 2019 Genesis Open Collegiate Showcase, which he won. The victory granted him an exemption for The Genesis Invitational on the PGA TOUR.

Was a member of Germany's 2014 European Boys Team Championship squad.

Was runner-up at the 2014 German Men's National Championship.

Shot rounds of 71-66-74-69 in Eindhovensche to finish regulation of the 2018 Dutch Amateur tied with countryman Marc Hammer. Defeated Hammer in a playoff for the title in mid-August.
