Earliest golf memory, at five years old, was watching Tiger Woods play in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club.

Played his first two seasons at LSU (2015-16, 2016-17) alongside Sam Burns; they were classmates for the Tigers.
Amateur Highlights
Played collegiately for four seasons at Louisiana State University (2015-19); he earned an All-Southeastern Conference First Team laurel in 2018, and All-SEC Second Team honors in 2017 and 2019. Also earned an All-America Third Team selection in 2018, and was an All-America Honorable Mention in 2016 and 2017.
Won four times at LSU, tied with Sam Burns and Rob McNamara for the second-most career victories in school history, only trailing David Toms' six wins.
Finished with a 71.53 career scoring average, which ranked No. 2 in program history behind Sam Burns.
Shared low amateur honors with Matt Parziale at the 2018 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills.
Defeated Jimmy Stanger in the Round of 16 before bowing out of the 2016 U.S. Amateur Championship, contested at Oakland Hills Country Club, in the quarterfinals.
