Is of Korean descent but spent 14 years living in Asuncion, Paraguay. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Korean.

Was twice a member of the winning East team at the Wyndham Cup, in both 2011 and 2012.

Was a 2011 AJGA Rolex second-team All-American.
