Season Recap
2026 Season
The American Express
Opened his 2026 season with a victory at The American Express for his 20th PGA TOUR title. Became the first player to reach 20 PGA TOUR wins since Rory McIlroy (2021 CJ CUP in South Carolina), and the first player since Tiger Woods (2000 U.S. Open at 24 years, 5 months, 19 days of age) to earn 20 PGA TOUR wins prior to turning 30 years old. Earned his 20th TOUR title in what was his 151st career start, only trailing Tiger Woods (95 starts) for the fewest career starts to reach 20 TOUR victories since 1970. Entered the final round one stroke behind 54-hole leader Si Woo Kim, but closed in 6-under 66 (with a double bogey on the par-3 17th) for a four-stroke victory over a quartet of co-runners-up (Jason Day, Ryan Gerard, Matt McCarty, Andrew Putnam). Marked Scheffler's first win in a PGA TOUR season debut, as well as his seventh win in his last 13 starts on TOUR.
FedEx St. Jude Championship
Earned his 21st PGA TOUR title and second win of the 2026 season with an eight-stroke victory at TPC Southwind, marking the largest margin of victory by any player on TOUR since his eight-stroke win at the 2025 CJ CUP Byron Nelson. Became the fifth player in the last 40 years with multiple wins of eight-plus strokes on TOUR, following Tiger Woods (10), Ernie Els (two), Dustin Johnson (two), and Rory McIlroy (two). At 30 years, 1 month, 26 days of age, became the third-youngest player to reach 21 career wins on TOUR since 1970, only behind Jack Nicklaus (27 years, 1 day at 1967 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am) and Tiger Woods (24 years, 6 months, 23 days at 2000 Open Championship). Converted a two-stroke 54-hole lead into an eight-stroke victory, improving to 12-of-15 converting to victory as the solo 54-hole leader.
