Season Recap
2026 Season
Valspar Championship
Made a 13-foot, 11-inch birdie putt on the 72nd hole of regulation, the par-4 18th on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort, for a one-stroke victory over David Lipsky and his third PGA TOUR title. Prior to the final round, had not birdied No. 18 in 11 previous rounds at the event. Totaled 11-under 273 with four rounds in the 60s and went bogey-free across his final 36 holes, becoming the third winner of the event to record a bogey-free final round (Luke Donald/2012, Kevin Streelman/2013). Following the win, rose to No. 6 in the Official World Golf Ranking, the highest ranking of his career and his first appearance in the top 10 since April 2024.
RBC Heritage
Earned his fourth PGA TOUR title as he defeated Scottie Scheffler with a birdie on the first playoff hole, the par-4 18th at Harbour Town Golf Links, hitting a 4-iron to 13 feet, 4 inches to set up the winning putt. Marked his second TOUR win in a three-start span (Valspar Championship) and secured his first multi-win season on TOUR. Previously won the 2023 RBC Heritage, making him the 11th player to win the event multiple times. In the final round, birdied two of the first three holes (par-4 first and third), but bogeyed the 72nd hole of regulation as he closed in 1-under 70. Held a one-stroke lead through 36 holes at 14-under 128, the second-lowest 36-hole score in tournament history (126/Stewart Cink/2021), and a three-stroke lead through 54 holes at 17-under 196, the second-lowest 54-hole score in tournament history (195/Stewart Cink/2021). Improved to 3-for-5 converting the 54-hole lead/co-lead into victory, having previously accomplished the feat in wins at the 2022 U.S. Open and 2023 RBC Heritage. Following the win, rose to No. 3 in the Official World Golf Ranking, his first appearance in the top five.
