Season Recap

2025 Season

Qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs for the sixth time of his career and finished T25 in the standings after advancing to the TOUR Championship for the first time. In his ninth season as a TOUR member, made 21 cuts in 25 starts and recorded career-bests in top-25s (14), top-10s (seven) and top-fives (five). Lone win of the season came at the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, his first major championship title and second career win on TOUR. Three runner-up finishes (Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, THE PLAYERS Championship, FedEx St. Jude Championship) were tied with Justin Thomas for the most by any player on TOUR in 2025. Earned one of the six automatic qualifying spots for the United States in the Ryder Cup.

THE PLAYERS Championship

Lost to Rory McIlroy in a three-hole aggregate playoff in a Monday finish at THE PLAYERS Championship. Tied McIlroy in regulation at 12-under 267 after holding a share of the 18-hole lead and leading solo after 54 holes. Was his first career playoff appearance.

U.S. Open

Captured his first major title at the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club. Carded scores of 66-72-69-72 for a 72-hole score of 1-under 279, birdying the last two holes to finish two strokes ahead of runner-up Robert MacIntyre. With Sunday nine-hole scores of 40-32, he became the first player on TOUR since 2003 to shoot in the 40s on the front nine of the final round and go on to win. Was his second victory on TOUR after winning the 2022 Valero Texas Open. Was his fourth top-three finish in his first 17 starts of the 2025 season.
