Teammates with Lanto Griffin all four seasons at Virginia Commonwealth University (2006-10), with the duo leading the Rams to a team title at the 2009 Colonial Athletic Association Championship.
Claims to be a terrific ping pong player.
Hobbies are cooking and fishing, and claims to have more fishing lures than anyone can imagine.
Started playing golf at age 9.
Has a twin sister, Cristina. Has an older sister and a younger brother too.
In 2023, embarked on a fitness/nutrition campaign which resulted in the loss of nearly 50 pounds. Remaining committed to the program, has incorporated strength training. By the start of the 2024 season, had put roughly 10 pounds of muscle on, but remains 40 overall pounds lighter.
Amateur Highlights
Played four seasons at Virginia Commonwealth University (2006-10), winning twice individually and setting a program record for career scoring average (73.34).
Garnered three All-Colonial Athletic Association First Team honors and helped VCU win the team title at the 2009 CAA Championship.
Claimed the Puerto Rico Amateur Championship four years in a row between 2007 and 2010.
Represented Puerto Rico and finished T17 individually at the 2010 Eisenhower Trophy in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
