Earned a majority of his earnings in his first four starts and finished 32nd on the final money list in his 12 starts.

Surprised the golf world in May when he won the Senior PGA Championship at Bellerive CC near St. Louis. The win came in his first visit to the United States. Started Sunday's final round five strokes behind 54-hole leader Kenny Perry, but posted a bogey-free, 6-under-par 65 Sunday to overtake Perry and win by two strokes. Became the first player to win the event in his first try since Michael Allen did so four years earlier.

Finished 13th at The Senior Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in July.

Added a T23 at the U.S. Senior Open in Omaha.
