Successfully defended his title at the Insperity Invitational with a four-stroke win in 2023. Held at least a share of the lead after each of the first two rounds before closing with bogey-free 66, which included 5-under 31 on the back nine. It was his sixth win on PGA TOUR Champions in his first 38 starts.

Finished T5 at Fields Ranch East in Frisco, Texas at 9-under 279, marking his fifth top-10 finish in in last seven PGA TOUR Champions starts.

Making his first career start at the American Family Insurance Championship, Alker followed an opening-round 7-under 65 with rounds of 68-70 to finish T2 at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin at 13-under 203. The finish marked his sixth top-10 finish in his eighth start of the season and came in his first start since a T5 in defense of his KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship title.

Closed with bogey-free 65 at the U.S. Senior Open to card the low round of the championship by any player en route to a T6 finish.

Finished T3 at the Boeing Classic after scores of 69-66-71. Marked his 21st top-3 in his first 45 starts on PGA TOUR Champions.

Closed with a 2-under 70 at Pebble Beach to finish T5 for a third top-5 finish in as many PURE Insurance Championship starts.

Finished runner-up at the Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS for his fifth top-2 of the 2023 season. Carded three rounds in the 60s to finish 10-under and one stroke behind champion Brett Quigley.

Finished runner-up at the SAS Championship after posting scores of 67-68-68. Marked his sixth top-2 finish of the season.
