Personal

Born and raised in Poway, California, outside of San Diego.

Began playing golf at age 7 with friend Bill Lunde's grandfather.

Competed in San Diego Junior Golf Association with fellow PGA TOUR player Pat Perez. Won the California state high school championship in 1994 and 1995, the first player to win twice.

Was a member of the 1998 NCAA championship team at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. UNLV teammates included Chris Riley, Chad Campbell, Bill Lunde and Adam Scott. Graduated with a communications degree.

In 2009, married wife Stacy, a longtime friend since graduating Poway High School together.

Founded the Charley Hoffman Foundation to raise funds for charities benefitting children in their native and adopted hometowns of San Diego and Las Vegas. Foundation has raised more than $1.8 million for charities in San Diego and Las Vegas.

Amateur Highlights

Member of UNLV's 1998 NCAA Championship team.

Honorable mention All-American in 1998.

Became the first two-time California high school champion.

Named AJGA second-team Rolex Junior All-American in 1994.
