New prototype shafts spotted at the Desert Classic

It’s officially prototype season in the shaft world out on the PGA TOUR. That means many of the shaft companies are bringing out unreleased models to TOUR players, letting them test the new options, and teaching players, agents and company reps about the new offerings for 2019. Players are deciding what shafts will make it into their competition bags, and shaft companies are figuring out what’s working and what isn’t as they prepare shafts for possible retail releases.

Of course, these new shafts have yet to be released to the public, so specs, pricing and release dates have yet to be confirmed, if they make it to retail at all. But for shaft fans, here’s a sneak peak at the TOUR prototypes that pros are testing.
