PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- The 2011 PGA TOUR season was unique and memorable, from the 38 different winners including 14 first-timers, to the exciting young talent that continues to challenge the TOUR's established stars, to the array of dramatic finishes.

These storylines, as well as numerous highlights of the 2011 season, will be featured on PGA TOUR 2011 Trending presented by Barclays, a one-hour NBC Sports special produced by PGA TOUR Entertainment, airing Saturday, December 24 at 3 p.m. ET.

On PGA TOUR 2011 Trending presented by Barclays, all the major storylines of the year will be examined, including Webb Simpson's emergence, Keegan Bradley's major breakthrough and Bill Haas' memorable playoff victory over Hunter Mahan at the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola that also secured his FedExCup title. It was during the playoff that Haas pulled off what widely is considered the shot of the year from the edge of the greenside lake at East Lake Golf Club's 17th hole to salvage par and keep the playoff going to the third and decisive hole. Bradley and Haas were just two of the growing number of 20-somethings who excelled on the PGA TOUR in 2011, a group that accounted for 16 titles and consistently challenged the TOUR's established stars.

The show also will take a more personal look at some of the TOUR players; including unprecedented access with 2011 PLAYERS champion K.J. Choi, traveling to South Korea to examine Choi's life and his unusual gravitation from weightlifting to golf. Also, Player of the Year Luke Donald reflects on his breakthrough season as does rookie Scott Stallings, part of a record-breaking 2011 rookie class, who captured his own playoff victory at The Greenbrier Classic. Plus, the show will recap the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup, and take a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at The Barclays, the first playoff event, as well as the tournament's history.
