2019-20 PGA TOUR full-membership fantasy rankings: 151-200

Zac Blair interview after winning Ellie Mae Classic

    FULL-MEMBERSHIP RANKINGS: Intro | 1-50 | 51-100 | 101-150 | 151-200 | 201-243 | Cheat sheet

NOTES: Age as of Sept. 12, 2019 | An asterisk beside a salary indicates a bargain.

    RankPlayerAge2018-19 earningsStatusComment
151Chris Stroud371.075MTop 125.Full-season gamers don't lunge toward past-prime veterans with only one win, but he's more than serviceable in deep leagues. Carries a quiet confidence and moxie to get the job done in regular events.
152Matt Jones391.024MTop 125.It cannot be easy for a man of his age with three kids and years from palpable success to regain traction. His short game continues to lead the charge, but his greatest asset is experience. Horse for courses.
153J.J. Spaun291.205MTop 125.After three podium finishes in 2017-18, last season wasn't so much of a fade as it may have been a leveling out. And that's not too shabby especially since he battled an injured left knee midseason.
154Joseph Bramlett31--KFT Finals. The former PGA TOUR member (2011) endured a serious back injury, so it's remarkable that he returned to his profession much less the top level of it. It's all gravy, but he's good and has thick skin. Sleeper.
155David Hearn40397K*KFT Finals.Treads water with the best of 'em, but he's fully exempt again for the first time in three seasons, so expect an uptick. The Canadian is a horse for courses and has survival skills to make a difference.
156Cameron Davis24477K*KFT Finals.Possessed the pedigree before a lackluster rookie campaign last season, but the Aussie keeps the motor going. Just needs to get off to better starts in every tournament. His scoring improved later.
157Richy Werenski27851KKFT Finals.Back for a fourth straight season. Buoyed by a runner-up finish in an opposite event in each of his first two seasons and a T3 at Mayakoba last fall. Solid last-round pick kind of value.
158Peter Malnati32864KTop 125.Exhibit A of how improving a weakness (tee-to-green) just enough while maintaining proficiency in the calling card (putting) matters in the long-term. Only one top 10 in last 109 TOUR starts, however.
159James Hahn37159KMajor Medical.Sat out the last six months of the season with a partial tear of a triceps tendon. Hasn't announced timing for a return. When he does, he'll have 17 starts to collect 305.136 FedExCup points.
160Martin Kaymer34877KConditional.Finished 150th in the FedExCup in only 14 starts but granted a dispensation on the membership minimum because he would've played Barbasol opposite The Open where he was an alternate.
161Brice Garnett361.019MTop 125.As a road warrior, he'll continue to present possibilities in his last season on the exemption for winning Corales in 2018. Veteran grinder who knows who he is and truly appreciates what he's accomplished.
162Michael Thompson341.307MTop 125.For a couple of months early in 2019, he was one of the hottest around, but he's always been content with playing fewer than most U.S.-based rank-and-filers, so there's too much risk baked in.
163Kramer Hickok27494KKFT Finals.Breezed through the Finals to start eighth in the reshuffle. He opened atop the category last season but recorded only one top 10 as a rookie. Tiptoe into him in every format.
164Lanto Griffin31--KFT Finals. The epitome of chill, there's an elder spirit that resonates with the second-time TOUR member (2017-18). He's crushed the KFT in both tries, so this is where he belongs. The putter is his sharpest tool.
165Zac Blair296K*KFT Finals.T2 on the KFT with seven top 10s, but it wasn't until his sixth – a win – until he booked his return to the big leagues. Led his circuit in par-4 scoring and will align as a horse for courses while pushing 30 starts.
166Dominic Bozzelli28668K*Conditional.Played his way into the same status (via a medical) last season, but finds himself here again. The earlier start and larger schedule should cater to him matching if not exceeding his price tag. Worth it.
167Vincent Whaley24--Rookie. KFT Finals.Teammate of recent TOUR members Ollie Schniederjans, Anders Albertson, Seth Reeves and fellow KFT grad Richy Werenski at Georgia Tech. Only one season on the KFT. Keep an eye on him.
168Chase Seiffert28--Rookie. KFT Finals.Came within one stroke of capturing his card last year despite only five starts on the KFT. Didn't leave anything for chance this year with four top fives and a T7. Ranked third in the all-around.
169Hank Lebioda25656KKFT Finals. The lefty didn't make any noise early or often as a rookie in 2018-19, but he finished 148th in the FedExCup. Now fully exempt again, experience should assist in putting to match solid ball-striking.
170Johnson Wagner39597KConditional.Three consecutive seasons of landing just outside the bubble for the Playoffs, so that's his baseline regardless of status. Horse for a course and a no-brainer in opposite events.
171Hudson Swafford32545KMinor Medical.Effectively ended his season with an early WD from the Travelers with an injured foot. Granted seven starts to earn 133.289 FedExCup points; needs just 45.742 points for conditional status.
172Harris English30628KConditional.Just missed out on securing his full card at the KFT Finals (T29), but he should garner a fair share of sponsor exemptions to exceed 20 starts in all. However, he's been on a downward trend for years.
173Seung-Yul Noh28--Major Medical (carryover). It's anticipated that his military conscription in South Korea ends early in the PGA TOUR season. Has full slate of 26 starts to earn 358.958 FedExCup points, but expect considerable rust.
174Ted Potter, Jr.35757KMulti-year.Finished 147th in the FedExCup but fully exempt another year via his title at the 2018 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Authored basically an identical season sans the victory and in five fewer starts.
175D.J. Trahan38507KKFT Finals.Second wind. Back in the big leagues with better than Past Champion status since the compressed season of 2013 when he was conditionally exempt. Fired for three top 10s in just 14 starts in 2018-19.
176Stewart Cink46368K*Minor Medical.A sore back sidelined him in all of May and most of June. Eight starts to earn 215.715 FedExCup points, but he should also receive sponsor exemptions when he needs them. Bounce-back candidate.
177Jonas Blixt35838KTop 125.Front-loaded 2018-19 and finished 124th in the FedExCup. It's the fourth of five seasons without a win in which he's finished in the 100-125 window. Plays less than desired for a complementary piece.
178Cameron Champ241.695MTop 70.Lost in his dry spell throughout 2019 is that he was a classic example of how success on the KFT can translate seamlessly in one's rookie season on the PGA TOUR. Unownable in salary games.
179Jim Herman41678K*Multi-year (thru 2020-21).Golf. He went the entire season without making any noise, and then boom at the Barbasol. Still cheap, so deeper salary gamers should consider given he'll play in all non-WGC invites.
180Peter Uihlein30842K*Conditional.His potential is greater than his spot in the pecking order, so the disappointment of 2018-19 could serve as a wake-up call. His cachet also will trigger sponsor exemptions.
181Luke Donald41285KMajor Medical (carryover). If he doesn't total 220.705 FedExCup points in his first three starts to retain status, he's going to use a Top 25 career earnings exemption. Despite that, consider only in weekly formats.
182Adam Long311.648MTop 70.The "calculated flier" label beside his name here last year paid dividends at the Desert Classic, but it still was more of a struggle than it was a celebration overall. Only drop-add leagues should monitor.
183Sean O'Hair37201KMajor Medical.Withdrew during his first round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and hasn't played since due to a torn oblique. Given 16 starts to bank 287.182 FedExCup points. No timetable for his return.
184Wes Roach30860KConditional.Essentially ran out of time after finding a groove over the summer. Unownable in salary games as a non-winner, but he could be this season's version of Talor Gooch, if not Corey Conners.
185Alex Noren37913K*Conditional.Because he fell outside the top 125, the Swede is in the same spot as Shane Lowry last season. Doesn't need to play the minimum, yet remains Playoffs-eligible. Should play in most biggies via his OWGR.
186Tyler Duncan30596KKFT Finals.Back in the pack among the rank and file, but anyone would want his tee-to-green game. His issue has been getting the ball in the hole. Now with a third straight spin with status and he'll remain busy.
187Mark Hubbard30--KFT Finals.Spent three straight seasons on the PGA TOUR through 2016-17 but didn't record a top 10 in 84 career starts. Famously proposed to his girlfriend after a round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in 2015.
188Harry Higgs27--Rookie. KFT Finals.Checks all of the boxes except experience, so he's a shrewd flier. His next PGA TOUR start will be his first. Former college teammates at SMU with Bryson DeChambeau (and Harry's brother, Alex).
189Michael Gligic29--Rookie. KFT Finals. The Canadian with 88 Mackenzie Tour starts spanning 11 years (2008-2018) made quick work of his only full season on the KFT with a win among seven top 25s. Sharpshooter on approach.
190Chris Kirk34261K*Major Medical.Announced in early May that he'd step away to tackle personal challenges (unrelated to his swing), so he has 11 starts to earn 280.392 FedExCup points. Hasn't declared when he'll return to competition.
191Satoshi Kodaira30421K.Multi-year.His victory at Harbour Town in 2018 remains his only top 10 in 49 TOUR starts. While it was surprising, it does reflect his cachet abroad. So, limit to a late option in deep full-season formats.
192Anirban Lahiri32419KKFT Finals. After enduring his roughest of four straight PGA TOUR seasons, he eased back in with a pair of top 10s at the Finals, but he's averaged just 22½ starts per season. That's hard to cover.
193Mark Anderson33--KFT Finals. He earned his card thrice before and was sidetracked due to a broken ankle suffered in a fall from a ladder in 2014. He broke the same ankle earlier this year but sustained position after an early win.
194Roberto Castro34674KConditional.Content with this status, he forewent the KFT Finals. It's a curious decision but some guys don't grind over it. Playing time will be an issue, but keep an eye on his progress before the 2020 KFT begins.
195Bo Hoag31--Rookie. KFT Finals.Clinched card with a win at the last stop of the regular season. Oddly enough, it was his first top 10 of 10 top 25s. Ranked second on the KFT in GIR. His grandfather, Bob, co-founded Muirfield Village.
    196Fabián Gómez
40433KKFT Finals. The distant runner-up at the KFT Championship hasn't let go of his clutch on status since regaining it in 2014-15, but he hasn't recorded a top 10 since the 2016 Playoffs.
197Ryan Brehm33--KFT Finals. You may remember he was one and done as a TOUR member in 2016-17, but he's now fresh off an even better season on the KFT than the previous that propelled him here. Power and precision tee to green.
198Chris Baker33--Rookie. KFT Finals.Doesn't get better than snaring a first TOUR card at was essentially a home game for the native of Indiana. Course management and wisdom are his weapons. Only one prior TOUR start (2016 Honda).
199Bernd Wiesberger3378K*OWGR Top 50.Back in focus after a torrid stretch this spring and summer, but he's recorded only one top 10 in 47 PGA TOUR events spanning eight seasons.
200Rafael Campos317KRookie. KFT Finals. You're familiar with him as a staple of his native Puerto Rico Open where he's made 11 of 17 TOUR starts. It'll be interesting to watch his game translate elsewhere. No doubt excellent in the wind.
