Wyndham Championship hole overview at Sedgefield Country Club

    So you’re saying there’s a chance?

Jason Kokrak, Alex Noren, Cameron Smith and Charles Howell III each enter this week’s Wyndham Championship with a mathematical opportunity to catch Brooks Koepka in the final week of the Aon Risk Reward Challenge and its winning prize of $1 million.

But it’s a Hail Mary longshot at best.

    Seriously, a huge longshot.

This week’s final Aon Risk Reward hole is the 545-yard par-5 15th at Sedgefield.

To catch Koepka – who leads the standings based on a tiebreaker with Jason Day – Kokrak would need an albatross and an eagle.

    Noren would need two albatrosses.

Smith and Howell, meanwhile, would need an ace and an albatross.

Based on last year’s statistics, the 15th is the second-easiest hole at Sedgefield. It yielded 27 eagles and 231 birdies at last year’s Wyndham Championship.

So, it’s an easy hole. But it’s not that easy.

Still, nothing’s official until after this week, so Koepka – who’s not playing this week as he preps for the upcoming FedExCup Playoffs – will have to wait before being officially declared the winner. And he’ll have to hope there’s no miracle coming out of Sedgefield.
