Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP @ SHERWOOD! Volunteers work side by side with the tournament team and PGA TOUR staff to produce a world-class tournament. There are 11 different committees, with jobs ranging from on-course duties, such as walking scorers or serving as a marshal, to player roles, such as player shuttles. Many committees may be new or have varied responsibilities due to COVID-19. Volunteers must be 18 years of age to participate (unless otherwise noted) and are required to work a minimum of three (3) days assigned by your committee chairman, although volunteers are strongly encouraged to work more shifts if available. Volunteers will work within the caddie hospitality area to provide customer services, facilitate caddie registration and maintain organization and distribution of caddie bibs. Monday through Sunday shifts.
Volunteers will manage inventory, distribution, and collection of golf carts during tournament week. Assist in the management of overall cart procedures and plan as designated by tournament office staff. Shifts prior to tournament week are also available. Monday through Sunday shifts.
Assist in registering our sponsors’ guests that will be playing in the Wednesday Pro-Am. Volunteers will assist with providing direction to Pro-Am amateurs, as well as help answer any questions that might arise throughout the day. Wednesday shift. Volunteers on this committee are strongly encouraged to help/sign up with other committees throughout tournament week to fulfill the 3-day commitment.
Volunteers will assist with tracking packages and getting them to the proper place around the facility. Should packages arrive for players, they are no longer permitted in the clubhouse and will be delivered to the distribution center. At the distribution center, volunteers will act as liaisons between manufacturers and players and caddies as they manage and distribute player equipment inventory. In addition, volunteers will receive and distribute player-related deliveries and outbound shipments. HEAVY LIFTING IS REQUIRED, VERY ACTIVE DUTY. Monday through Sunday shifts.
Volunteers will protect the competition inside the ropes by managing the flow of all on site personnel outside the ropes. Marshals will also assist the Shotlink volunteers with ball spotting on the greens, with the Shotlink team managing the fairways. Marshals will be stationed at crosswalks and greens only. Wednesday through Sunday shifts only.
Volunteers will coordinate player shuttles from green to tee on designated holes. Responsible for organizing carts in staging area throughout the course of play. Must be over 25 years old. Monday through Sunday shifts.
Record and transmit shot locations of professionals to the SHOTLink system while stationed greenside or at fairway landing zones. Spotters will assist fairway operators with locating ball positions and identifying situations where a shot may be obstructed. Mandatory Wednesday training and Thursday through Sunday shifts.
Assist in the distribution of all tournament materials during tournament week and leading up to event. In addition, must maintain and distribute supplies, refreshments and water for players, caddies and volunteers during the tournament. HEAVY LIFTING IS REQUIRED, VERY ACTIVE DUTY. Monday through Sunday shifts.
Keep the volunteer hospitality center open and available to all volunteers during tournament week. Volunteers will work closely with the supply distribution committee to make sure that the Volunteer Village is stocked at all times with appropriate materials and supplies. Volunteers will assist in the general upkeep and appearance of the Volunteer Village. They will work in hand with the safety committee as well to ensure proper equipment is readily available and cleaning processes are complete. Monday through Sunday shifts.
Record the scores and statistics of play on handheld devices during all competition rounds. Each volunteer will be given a tee time. It is essential to have knowledge of golf, golf etiquette, and be in good physical condition with the ability to walk 18 holes at a pace to keep up with the players. Very active duty. Assignment to this committee is at the discretion of the committee chairman. Mandatory Tuesday or Wednesday training and Thursday through Sunday shifts.
