Stat of the Day: Liberty National

While several changes have been made to Liberty National since it hosted The Barclays in 2009, it's still interesting to look at the statistics the top-10 finishers excelled in at that tournament.

Yes, 12 greens and as many as 13 fairways were altered by the design team. In any case, look how important driving accuracy and scrambling were among the top-10 finishers in 2009. Seven of the top-10 finishers that week (11 players) finished inside the top 20 in driving accuracy. And seven of them ranked in the top 20 in scrambling that week (Nick Watney, who finished in the top 10, ranked 21st). Four of the 11 ranked inside the top 5 in scrambling.

So will driving accuracy and scrambling be the biggest factors this season following the redesign? Guess we'll have to wait and see. Here's a look at the top-10 finishers from 2009 and where they ranked that week.
