    PXG unveils Mini Gunboat putters

Smaller profile mallets have become a popular option for professionals who want high-MOI performance in a slightly more compact profile. Designed with direct feedback from its TOUR staff, PXG is the latest to offer such a model in the Mini Gunboat.

Designed after the Gunboat putter Pat Perez used to win the CIMB Classic, the mini version is six-percent shorter from heel-to-toe and twenty-percent shallower from front-to-back than the standard version.

Each putter features a billet-milled 304 stainless steel insert and Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) core — the putter's hollow cavity is filled with the same TPE material as the company's irons — that produces a "soft, solid feel" at impact" for improved consistency across the entire face.

The Mini Gunboat retails for $550 and comes in face balanced (single bend shaft) and mid-toe down (straight shaft) options with four degrees of loft and a lie angle of 70 degrees.
