Patrick Reed won his fourth PGA TOUR title at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, defeating Jimmy Walker in a sudden-death playoff at Kapalua. For Reed, the victory came with a bag full of Callaway and Odyssey equipment, including an 8.5-degree Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond driver with a 44.5-inch Fujikura Fuel 75x shaft.

While Reed's first official TOUR event with the new driver came at Kapalua, he put it in play for the first time at the Hero World Challenge in December.

"Patrick liked the lower spin he was getting with his Double Black Diamond," Callaway Tour rep Kellen Watson said at the Hero World Challenge. "He is also using a length he hasn't used in quite some time and this week is a good test for all those changes. He's a big proponent of trying to use our newest equipment once it's available to him."

The Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond replaces last year's Big Bertha Alpha. The driver is geared for better players — single-digit handicappers and TOUR players — that are looking for a low spin option. With a low, forward CG, the Alpha 815 DD is 100 rpm lower spinning than last year's Big Bertha Alpha.

However, thanks to RMOTO technology (rib motion control) — a lightweight, rib-like structure that runs along the leading edge of the sole — the driver is slightly more forgiving on shots hit high on the face, due in large part to the lower, deeper weight position that boosts MOI.

Big Bertha Alpha DD also comes with moveable weights (1 gram and 5 grams) that can be positioned in the heel and toe to assist golfers with drawing and fading the ball.

With the new driver in play, Reed finished fourth in the field in driving distance for the week at 281.9 yards.

Here's a look at the rest of the clubs in Reed's bag.
