Two new Odyssey putters unveiled

By Jonathan Wall, PGATOUR.COM Equipment Insider

Odyssey expanded its Versa and White Hot Pro putter lines on Monday with the addition of two new high-MOI putters called Versa Jailbird and White Hot Pro Havok.

Versa Jailbird is a high MOI mallet that looks very similar to the Versa #7. The big difference between the Versa #7 and Jailbird is the addition of a bar on the back of the head that gives the putter "Double Versa Technology."

According to Odyssey, the additional line — last year's Versa had three black-and-white lines — gives the putter four alternating black-and-white lines that allow "the golfer's eyes to key in on linear designs on the putter that accentuate the face angle and contributes to better alignment."

Chris Koske, Odyssey's global director, tweeted out a photo of Jailbird on Monday on the practice putting green at the Sony Open. Both putters are making their TOUR debut this week.

Havok, a member of the White Hot Pro family, is an "ultra-high MOI" putter that has a lower, deeper CG that creates forward roll, improves distance control and provides added stability through the stroke. Havok comes with Odyssey's new non-glare, gunmetal PVD finish.

Jailbird ($170) and Havok ($160) both feature Odyssey's improved White Hot Pro insert and will be available in January.
