    The 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Season continues with the Tulum Championship at PGA Riviera Maya, the ninth tournament of the 25-event schedule and the final international event of the season. This will mark the second playing of the Tulum Championship.

    Notables in the field

    • Jay Card III recorded his best career finish (T2) at the LECOM Suncoast Classic in his 48th Korn Ferry Tour start, moving him to No. 18 on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List. Card regained Korn Ferry Tour membership for the 2026 season with a No. 2 finish on the 2025 PGA TOUR Americas Points List off the strength of two victories and four top-10 finishes.
    • Rookie Hunter Eichhorn, who stands No. 8 on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, recorded his fifth top-10 finish of the season in his last start at the LECOM Suncoast Classic. Ian Gilligan is the only other player on Tour with five top-10 finishes this season. Eichhorn earned medalist honors at Second Stage of 2025 PGA TOUR Q-School to earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for the first time.
    • Jeremy Gandon captured his second career Korn Ferry Tour victory last time out at the LECOM Suncoast Classic. Gandon, who held a share of the 54-hole lead, carded a third consecutive 6-under 65 in the final round with birdies on his final three holes of the tournament. Gandon rose to No. 3 on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List following his victory.
    • Bryson Nimmer returns to the Tulum Championship to defend his title after earning his first Korn Ferry Tour victory here last season. This season, Nimmer stands No. 50 on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List through eight events with six made cuts, highlighted by a T6 at the season-opening The Bahamas Golf Classic at Atlantis Paradise Island.
    • Alvaro Ortiz, a Guadalajara, Mexico, native, is coming off his best finish of the 2026 campaign with a T26 at the LECOM Suncoast Classic. Overall, Ortiz stands No. 50 on the 2026 Points List with five made cuts in eight starts. Ortiz holds full status for the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Season after finishing 26th on the 2025 Points List, his best result in three seasons on Tour.

    • PGA Riviera Maya played as the most difficult course on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2025 with a scoring average of 73.49 (+1.488).
    • Bryson Nimmer defeated Stuart Macdonald on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff (par-4 No. 18) for his first Korn Ferry Tour victory at the 2025 Tulum Championship.
    • The field includes 17 PGA TOUR winners with 27 total victories, led by three-time TOUR winners Cameron Champ and Jim Herman.
    • The field includes 63 Korn Ferry Tour winners with 93 career victories, led by Ben Kohles and Robby Shelton with four wins each.

    Key storylines

    • Ian Holt stands No. 1 on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List off the strength of back-to-back victories at The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at The Abaco Club and The Panama Championship, the second and third events of the season. With a third victory, Holt would earn an automatic promotion to the PGA TOUR via the Three-Victory Promotion. Matt McCarty (2024) was the last player to achieve the Three-Victory Promotion.
    • Alistair Docherty won the 119 Visa Argentina Open presented by Macro. Through The Open Qualifying Series, the victory earned Docherty an exemption for the 154th The Open at Royal Birkdale in July.
    • The last 22 Korn Ferry Tour events ended in regulation, tying the second-longest stretch without a playoff in Tour history.
    • The 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Season, the 36th season in the Tour's history, features 25 events across seven countries and 15 states. There will be 10 televised events throughout the season.
    • Upon conclusion of the 25-event Korn Ferry Tour season, the top 20 players on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List will be awarded PGA TOUR cards (i.e. - membership) for the 2027 season. Additionally, the player who finishes No. 1 will earn exemptions for the 2027 THE PLAYERS Championship and 2027 U.S. Open.
    • Following the Compliance Solutions Championship, the third of four season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Finals events, the top 60 players on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List will qualify for the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia's Richmond Region at The Federal Club in Glen Allen, Virginia. Those 60 players will also earn full status for the 2027 Korn Ferry Tour Season.
