Blades Brown makes birdie on No. 15 at Utah Championship

The 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season concludes this week with the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia's Richmond Region, the 25th and final tournament of the season. Upon completion of the tournament, the top 20 players on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List will be awarded PGA Tour cards for the 2027 season. Additionally, the player who finishes No. 1 will earn exemptions for the 2027 The Players Championship and 2027 U.S. Open.

The field is comprised of the top 60 players from the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, though No. 19 Ben Kohles is the only eligible player not entered this week. The top 60 players have all earned full status for the 2027 Korn Ferry Tour season. Players ranked Nos. 43-60 on the points list can only finish in the top 20 with a win this week.

The tournament takes place at The Federal Club in Glen Allen, Virginia, a par-71 layout measuring 7,073 yards. The event offers a purse of $1.5 million, with the winner receiving $270,000. Chandler Blanchet returns as the defending champion.

The field includes two PGA Tour winners in Adam Hadwin and S.Y. Noh, along with 33 Korn Ferry Tour winners who have combined for 48 career victories, led by four-time winner Robby Shelton. Joseph Bramlett, the 2021 champion of this event, is also competing.

Notables in the field

  • Blades Brown, who stands No. 14 on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, is in line to usurp Jason Day (2007) as the youngest graduate in Korn Ferry Tour history. Brown, 19, also earned Special Temporary Membership on the PGA Tour this season, as he owns two top-10s in 11 starts (third/Puerto Rico Open; T9/ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic). Brown enters this week's Korn Ferry Tour Championship with 12 top 25s in 17 starts on the Korn Ferry Tour this season.
  • Cole Hammer, who stands No. 20 on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, is seeking his first PGA Tour card in what is his third full season on the Korn Ferry Tour. A decorated amateur and former No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, Hammer finished No. 5 in the 2022 PGA Tour University Ranking after four seasons at the University of Texas (2018-22). • Austin Hitt, who stands No. 22 on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List with two top-five finishes in the last four events, is bidding for his first PGA Tour card in his third consecutive season on the Korn Ferry Tour. • Davis Lamb, a native of Bethesda, Maryland, who stands No. 23 on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, is seeking his first PGA Tour card. Played four seasons at the University of Notre Dame and one season at Florida Atlantic University.
