Notables in the field
- Taylor Dickson, a class of 2024 Korn Ferry Tour graduate, earned his third career Korn Ferry Tour win at the season-opening The Bahamas Golf Classic at Atlantis Paradise Island. Dickson followed Chan Kim (2023 Albertsons Boise Open) as the second winner in Korn Ferry Tour history to record a bogey-free 72-hole tournament. Dickson's previous victories on Tour came in 2024, propelling him to a No. 6 finish on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List and his first PGA TOUR card.
- Rookie Hunter Eichhorn finished T6 in the season-opening The Bahamas Golf Classic at Atlantis Paradise Island, his first start as a Korn Ferry Tour member. Eichhorn has successfully open qualified into five Korn Ferry Tour events the last two seasons, and qualified for the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Finals despite not having membership. Eichhorn, who grew up playing a nine-hole course in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, played five seasons at Marquette University (2017-22), where he was a three-time BIG EAST Conference Player of the Year (2018, 2021, 2022).
- Justin Hastings, a rookie who finished No. 13 in the 2025 PGA TOUR University Ranking, played four seasons at San Diego State University (2021-25), where he broke Xander Schauffele's school record for career scoring average (71.11) and won the 2025 Latin America Amateur Championship. Hastings grew up in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, and played inline hockey (i.e., roller hockey) for several years.
- Jackson Van Paris finished No. 5 in the 2025 PGA TOUR University Ranking and earned conditional status for the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Season with a T62 finish at Final Stage of 2025 PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry. Van Paris, competing via a sponsor exemption this week, had one top-25 finish in nine starts last season (T22/Utah Championship).
- Blades Brown, 18, who began the 2025 season with no status on any PGA TOUR-sanctioned circuit, earned four top-25 finishes, including a runner-up finish at the Veritex Bank Championship, in 14 Korn Ferry Tour starts last season. He went on to finish No. 68 on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, securing full status for the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Season.
