    Bryce Lewis carded his career-low round on the Korn Ferry Tour, an 8-under 62, to set the course record at The Woodcreek Club and lead the Colonial Life Charity Classic.

    • Hit 15 of 18 greens in regulation and ranked No. 2 on the day in Strokes Gained: Approach The Green (3.379)
    • Third-year pro opened the season with four straight made cuts, highlighted by a T23 at The Panama Championship; had two missed cuts and a WD in his last three starts, falling to No. 94 on the Points List
    • Played five seasons at the University of Tennessee (2019-24) and finished No. 22 in the 2024 PGA TOUR University Ranking to earn PGA TOUR Americas membership for the summer of 2024; in 10 starts, made five cuts and placed inside the top-25 four times, highlighted by a solo runner-up finish at the CRMC Championship presented by Northern Pacific Center
    • In December 2024, advanced to Final Stage of PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry to earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for the 2025 season

    • Zac Blair (second/-7) led the field with nine birdies and matched his career-low round on Korn Ferry Tour; the last time he shot 63 was the first round of the 2022 Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS.
    • Carson Young (T4/-5) won the South Carolina Amateur when it was played at The Woodcreek Club in 2013; closed with a 5-under 66 (played as a par 71) and won by two with a 12-under 272 total. This season on Korn Ferry Tour, he has two top-five finishes in five starts and is No. 24 on the Points List, and he is coming off a T67 finish at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, his fifth made cut in six starts on the PGA TOUR this season.
    • Jacob Solomon (T4/-5) is making his fourth start of the season as a conditional member; finished T22 at the Tulum Championship at PGA Riviera Maya to earn entry into this week’s event and improve his position in the reorder, which will take place after the Colonial Life Charity Classic.
    • Matt NeSmith (T17/-3) is the low alumnus of the University of South Carolina through 18 holes; as a senior in 2016, became the first Gamecock to earn PING First Team All-America honors.
    • Three players went bogey-free Thursday: Trent Phillips (T4/-5), Cole Hammer (T17/-3) and Michael Feagles (T17/-3).
