Season Recap

2026 Season

THE PLAYERS Championship

Earned his second PGA TOUR title at THE PLAYERS Championship with a one-stroke victory over Matt Fitzpatrick, marking his second win in 11 starts after he went winless (with seven runner-up finishes) in his first 93 TOUR starts. Trailed 54-hole leader Ludvig Aberg by four strokes and closed with a 4-under 68 in the final round, highlighted by a bogey-free 3-under 33 on the back nine with birdies at the par-4 10th, par-3 13th, and par-3 17th. Parred the 72nd hole of regulation, the par-4 18th, after a 375-yard drive, the longest by any player on the hole in the ShotLink era (since 2003). Birdied No. 17 each of the final three rounds, becoming the first winner of THE PLAYERS Championship to accomplish the feat. Led the field in proximity on approach shots (28 feet, 1 inch) and scrambling (16 of 21). With the victory, rose to No. 4 in the Official World Golf Ranking, marking his first appearance in the top 10.

Cadillac Championship

Recorded a wire-to-wire victory, converting a one-stroke 18-hole lead, five-stroke 36-hole lead and six-stroke 54-hole lead into a six-stroke win for his third PGA TOUR title. Marked his second PGA TOUR win by six strokes (2025 Wyndham Championship). Totaled 19-under 269 at Trump National Doral’s Blue Monster Course. In the final round, called a penalty on himself (breach of Rule 9.4, a player caused their ball at rest to move) on the par-4 second and saved par with a 13-foot, 6-inch putt. Followed Justin Rose as the second wire-to-wire winner of the 2026 PGA TOUR Season.
