- Darren Clarke, who won the 2020 TimberTech Championship played at The Old Course at Broken Sound, posted 2-under 70 and sits T8.

Team competition
- In addition to the PGA TOUR Champions 54-hole stroke play event, there is a team competition that features 26 football legends.
- Format: On Friday and Saturday, there will be 26 two-person teams (one Champions Tour player and one football legend) playing a two-man Best Ball. The counted score for each hole is either the Champions Tour player’s gross score or the football legend’s net score.
