Personal
Played competitive tennis until he was 14, and played far more tennis than golf to that point; he trained 5-6 times a week and played USTA tournaments almost every weekend.
Family is a bigger on tennis than golf; they go to the U.S. Open in New York every year, and he thinks it is the most fun sporting event to attend. His parents did not start golfing until they were in their 30s and picked it up as a fun thing they could do together in their free time whilst traveling.
Attended the 2006 U.S. Open Championship at Winged Foot, and in the third round, eventual champion Geoff Ogilvy gave him a golf ball on the 18th tee. He still has the ball.
Left-handed in everything he does (eating, writing, throwing).
Has multiple severe food allergies, and he hopes to get involved with allergy research.
As a high schooler, he picked and packed hot pepper seeds, as well as loose-leaf tea for work.
Huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, partly because his father is from Pittsburgh.
Amateur Highlights
Played collegiately for four seasons at NCAA Division III Emory University (2016-20), where he was a four-time All-American, garnering second-team laurels in 2017, 2018, and 2019, along with a third-team selection in 2020. He won or shared medalist honors at three tournaments.
