Personal

Born and raised in Dunwoody, Georgia, where he attended Dunwoody High School and honed his game at Dunwoody Country Club.

Four-year starter for the Dunwoody High School basketball team.

Did not have any scholarship offers coming out of Dunwoody (Georgia) High School and only had offers from three Division III programs -- which do not offer athletic scholarships; he ultimately chose Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia because his older brother, Alex, was on the golf team there.

Loves to cook; he says his father, Scott, worked in restaurants growing up, and his parents always gave him jobs to do when they cooked family dinner, so they effectively taught him how to cook and he fell in love with it.

Took an entrepreneurship class in high school which required he and a partner to start a business; he and his best friend from high school started a business where they "would come to your house and wash your car... washed a lot of cars that year."

Attended the TOUR Championship multiple times and has "lots of good memories going to East Lake."

Atlanta sports fan who supports the Falcons (NFL), Braves (MLB), and Hawks (NBA).

Older brother, Alex (also known as "Big Al" since he stands 6 feet, 8 inches), owns the course record at Rivermont Golf Club in Roswell, Georgia with a 61 -- which remains the lowest score by anyone in the family despite the fact he works full time as a financial advisor.

Amateur Highlights

Played four seasons at Berry College (2013-17), an NCAA Division III program in Mount Berry, Georgia, where he posted a 78.70 scoring average in limited action as a freshman and became a two-time All-American (first-team selection in 2017, third-team selection in 2016), back-to-back Southern Athletic Association Player of the Year in 2016 and 2017, and recorded top-five finishes at the 2015 and 2017 NCAA Division III Championships.
