Amateur Highlights

Had a celebrated amateur career, playing primarily in Australia. Reached as high as No. 24 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking before turning pro. Was the 2021 Queensland Male Amateur Golfer of the Year and a three-time member of the Queensland men’s state team (2017-19). Also was the Queensland Junior Male Amateur Golfer of the Year (2018) and the Queensland Junior Golfer of the Year in 2015 and 2017.

Won the 2021 Australian Amateur, defeating fellow Aussie Jack Thompson by two shots after beginning the final round with a five-stroke cushion.

At North Carolina’s Pinehurst Resort, defeated Jackson Van Paris in 19 holes in the final match to capture the 2021 North and South Amateur title in early July.

At the weather-shortened 2021 Dogwood Amateur at Atlanta’s Druid Hills GC, opened 68-64 to hold a share of the 36-hole lead with Josh Edgar. When rain washed out the third round, he pulled ahead in the final round, opening a four-shot lead before bogeying Nos. 16 and 18 to finish two clear of Nicolas Cassidy and Garrett Rank.

Won the 2020 Tasmanian Amateur Championship in November at Mowbray GC, rolling to an eight-shot triumph over William Florimo.

Prevailed at the 2019 Port Phillip Open Amateur at Commonwealth GC and Kingston Heath GC by five strokes over Billy Cawthorne.

Was a two-stroke winner of Blake Collyer at the 2018 Queensland Stroke Play and Amateur Championship at Gailes GC

At the 2016 New Zealand Amateur, become the youngest winner in tournament history, defeating Peter Spearman-Burn in the final match, 2 and 1, at age 15 at Royal Wellington GC.
