Nickname is Tee Bass

His aspirations include starting a family and buying a boat.

Almost quit the game coming out of high school. An opportunity arose at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington with a new coach who allowed him a chance via a tryout for a walk on spot on the team. Says he is "eternally grateful" to Coach Matt Clark for giving him a chance.

Earliest golf memory is with his father playing a four-hole stretch of holes known as "The Loop" at Devil's Ridge GC.

Has a golden retriever named Moose.

Played multiple sports growing up.

Non-golf jobs include working for a pizza restaurant, a Harris Teeter supermarket and a landscaping business. Was also self-employed operating his own car-wash business.

Best memory as a fan was getting Payne Stewart's autograph at the 1999 U.S. Open in Pinehurst.

Uses only high-numbered golf balls during competition.

Uses only quarters with birds on the back as ball markers.

Used to wear orthodontic headgear to school as a kid, which, he says, caused a few fights.

Won two collegiate tournaments, including the 2011 Seahawks Invitational .

Named academic All-American 2012-13.

Named conference Player of the Year in 2012 as a junior, and was a first-team, all-conference selection in 2012 and 2013. Earned second-team honors in 2011.

Was a Golf Coaches Association of America All-America Scholar in 2012 and 2013.
